HG Army Camouflage
The difference between the guerrilla warfare, paramilitaries and the country’s military was something I initially could not define. As a child born in Colombia, these factions all looked identical, using the same green camouflage uniform. Not knowing how to differentiate between them caused me to always fear the standard green camouflage. I understood they were similar in nature, all fighting for a cause. Some fought for evil while others fought for peace. Understanding this, I have always supported the fight for peace. In my camouflage theme I have chosen three colors: metallic red, metallic green and metallic purple. These would be the colors that I would choose for my army, a movement for peace, love, respect, kindness, unity and strength. Metallic red represents inner strength and unity. This is a reflection upon my views on life. No matter how difficult life may get, we should never forget why we are here and that our purpose keeps us together and keeps us going. That failure is not a means to an end but actually an indicator that success is soon to be upon us. The metallic green depicts peace, kindness and our planet earth. We all children from mother earth; we aren’t separated by the depicted lines drawn on a map. The days where we allowed color or appearance to dilute the value of a being are behind us and we are the generation to make it our global responsibility to end this madness. Not only are we causing harm to the living creatures on earth but also we are destroying our natural habitat and limited resources. The metallic purple represents respect and loyalty. Respect to our own selves to others, to nature living and nonliving. That despite life’s ups and downs, always remains true to one and ones beliefs, and remember that character stands the test of time. All of these colors burst through the black, which represents our blackest and gloomiest of days, which we have put behind us but never forgotten as the past educates the future. I want to bring peace, love, loyalty and kindness to our world, we are all in this together so let’s bring this to light and share with the world.
